Inspiring Quotes

If your study space includes a TV and radio, it is probably not the best place for you to study. Your study space should be used for studying and working only. Make a habit of learning new words regularly, the more words you have in your vocabulary, the better and more confident you will be when you speak or write. In exam conditions, answer the easy questions first, then go back and do the more difficult questions. Doing this will boost your confidence, and save time. Take notes as you read. Be an ACTIVE reader and note-taker. Ask questions, summarize as you go, and review when you have finished. When writing exams, skim the entire exam before answering any question, then plan your time according to difficulty and value of each item. Before trying to memorize, assess your level of concentration. If you are not likely to retain much information, determine what you need to refocus. Determine your best study environment and time of the day. Then plan study time each week that is consistent with your style of reading. To be a person known for academic excellence you must manage your time well. Be more aware of the activities you engage in, be more strategic! In addition to taking detailed notes in class, always recopy your notes. It is one of the most important strategies to fully comprehend information. Jotting down summary of your own after reading, will improve your chances of remembering key ideas, and leave you with great study notes for exams. See learning as a positive opportunity that not everyone is privileged to take part in. You are in an advantageous position, make the best of it. Concentrate on accuracy and not on speed when you are learning; make yourself notice and correct your learning errors. Slow down and take in the material. Identify and spend extra time on those subjects that are most difficult for you. The more difficult they are, the more time they will require. When studying for a test, condense the material and write out questions and answers to test yourself with. Answering questions increase retention. Don'N panic if you feel a bit nervy before a test or exam, that feeling can actually help you perform to the best of your ability if handled properly. When studying for long hours take a 5 or 10 minutes break every hour, and go for a walk or take some light refreshments. It will increase your productivity. Record yourself reading your notes and occasionally listen to the recordings. It's a less stressful way to revise and it helps you retain information better. Have you heard of the word Idiosyncrasy? It means a person's particular way of acting, thinking, talking etc. especially when it is an unusual feature. Writing is the cornerstone of academic and career success. You must strive to improve both your writing skills and the scope of your vocabulary. Take time to examine your academic strengths and weaknesses, and find ways to capitalize on your strengths while minimizing your weaknesses. Ask questions in class when you are confused or struggling to understand - chances are, others would like clarification as well. Be inquisitive. Make a habit of learning new words. Read your dictionary, read good books and your confidence will be stronger whenever you have to speak or do a write up. Gathering the right text books can be the difference between success and failure. Ensure you have the right materials for each subject. Are you a student with the habit of procrastinating? Time discipline is an important factor to success. Study your notes and do assignments at the right time. Put your heart, mind and soul into learning. This is one of the secrets to educational success. Know your strengths. Education is the best friend. An educated person is respected everywhere. Education beats the beauty and the youths. The best way to streamline your study habits is to learn time management. Set realistic goals for study time to avoid last minute cramming.
